Ok! A little bit about me......
I am 26 year old Arlena Mark (formerly Blackman) from Grenada..'D isle of Spice!'
I have been 'completely' natural for just about a year and so far it has been a very interesting one.
When I started out I was confused,worried ...among other emotions. The thing is, I was natural before but I would always use protective styles so no one knew, then when I decided to transition about a year ago it was because my hair was badly damaged from heat and other factors. But, I didn't want it to appear as though I was just following a trend.
Thank God! I overcame those mixed emotions and those insecure feelings, even when I put braids (which I love) or any other protective style, I crave for my natural hair. I loveee it soooo much!! :D
I have also had assistance on my journey from a few friends here, also my hubster (my rock!!) and other family. I also appreciate and follow a few vloggers and bloggers who have helped me tremendously, looking at them do their stuff, do reviews etc was a form of therapy.
I am so grateful to God for my beautiful hair and hope you are too. If you're having trouble maybe I can help by sharing my story and other discoveries that would empower you to love your hair and be versatile with it.
